Ottawa Hosting Provider Expands Executive Team
Local cloud hosting and managed services company BoxFabric, has expanded its executive leadership team. Recently joining the company as interim CEO is Dan Wilton, an internet service provider executive and entrepreneur from Ottawa.
“I have worked with this talented group for several months, witnessing first-hand their customer focus in providing managed hosting as a trusted IT cloud partner,” said Wilton. “Already we have made significant
improvement to the core business operations, channel partnerships, and service roadmap as we find continued success.”
Previously, Mr. Wilton was an executive at both Magma Internet (bought by Primus) and Storm Internet, the two largest internet service providers in Eastern Ontario. Wilton also spent years at Bell Canada as an Associate Director, successfully growing its SMB hosting practice and starting their national hosting strategy.
According to IDC forecasts(1), the cloud market in Canada is growing at more than 25% CAGR with hosting service providers similar to BoxFabric helping clients move from traditional server colocation, to private/public cloud infrastructures that provide greater reliability, security, and scale.
